Choosing Your Size
Ordering from our Sample Collection in-store
If you're selecting a gown from our sample collection in-store, we’ll assist you in finding the correct size. Our team will guide you in choosing the best fit based on your measurements.
Ordering Online
When ordering a gown online, please ensure you check the size of the sample gowns for sale. To help ensure a great fit, we recommend following our sizing guide. The guide is designed to minimize alterations, but every bride’s body is unique, so alterations may still be needed.
At the bottom of this section, you’ll find a measurement guide and a sizing chart for sizes 8–24. If you’re unsure about which size to choose, don’t hesitate to reach out for guidance.
Split Sizing
Many women are a "split size," meaning their bust, waist, and hips may fall into different size categories (e.g., bust size 8, waist size 10, hip size 12). This is completely normal! In such cases, we’ll work with you to determine the best size to order. Typically, we recommend ordering the larger size (e.g., size 12) and making adjustments to the bust and waist. For some styles, we offer split sizing (e.g., B8, W10, H12) at an additional charge.
Confirming Your Size
After placing your order, we’ll reach out to confirm your size and order details. If you have any concerns or questions about sizing, we can discuss these with you at that time.
Timeline for Ordering Your Gown
Production Time: We require a minimum of 6 months to create each gown. However, many brides order up to 12 months in advance.
Customizations: Once your order is confirmed, production begins immediately. Please note that any changes to the design or further customizations after your order has been placed may incur additional costs.
If you have any questions before placing your order, feel free to email us at admin@hayleymareebridal.com.
Important Notes
Every Woman Is Unique: We understand that every body shape is different. While our sizing guide will help you find the closest fit, alterations may still be required to ensure the perfect fit. Please allow time for alterations when ordering your gown.
Example Timeline: If your wedding is 8 months away, we recommend ordering your gown right away. It will take 6 months for your gown to be made and delivered, leaving you 2 months for any alterations before your big day.
Gown Length
Most brides choose their wedding shoes after selecting their gown, which is perfectly fine! Our gowns are made to a standard length of 158 cm from shoulder to ground. If you're taller than this measurement, you will need to request extra length so it can be professionally hemmed to your perfect length.
Important: It’s easier to shorten the length of a gown, but once it’s too short, it cannot be lengthened. Be sure to allow extra time for hemming, if necessary.
How to Take Your Measurements
To ensure the best fit, please have a friend or family member assist you in taking your measurements. Here’s how to do it:
Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
Waist: Measure at the smallest part of your torso (usually just above your belly button).
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.
Waist to Knee: Measure from your waist down to the middle of your kneecap, following the natural curve of your body.
Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder (just in from the shoulder tip) down to the floor. This is your "full length" measurement.
With these guidelines, you’ll be able to choose the best fit for your gown, ensuring a smooth and stress-free shopping experience. If you need any further assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us!
